What is Transcendental Meditation?

Transcendental Meditation® (TM) is a simple effortless mental technique that is practiced for 15 to 20 minutes twice a day while sitting comfortably with eyes closed. TM produces a state of restful alertness in mind and body and is enjoyable and profoundly refreshing and rejuvenating.

During the practice the brain functions in a more orderly and coherent manner while the body gains a state of deep rest. The technique is unique in that it involves no concentration, contemplation or effort of any kind and can be learned by anyone.
